3. Remove the drive carrier by grasping the handle and pulling it directly out of the library.

CAUTION

The drive carrier weighs five pounds (2.3 kg); make sure you support

the bottom of the carrier as you remove it.

Installing the Tape Drive

1. As shown in the following figure, insert the tape drive so that the SCSI connectors are at the

top. The drive should slide easily toward the front of the library.

2. Tighten the captive screw to 8.0 inch-pounds (9.2 kg-cm) of torque.
